The Borg Defected Stone and Roll is a semi-factual chronicle telling the story of an anonymous human who wakes up from a coma on November 4th, 2015 in a country he no longer recognizes, in a society full of unfamiliar people, where he no longer feels he belongs. Upon exiting the hospital, our brave hero realizes that he is stepping into a cold, tense, divided reality.

1. Save the World (Save Ourselves)

The worlds gone cold with frozen heads and frozen hearts

Tearing us to pieces, and breaking us apart

But we can work this out

Yeah we can make it better

Don’t you know the only way to heal

Is to admit we’ve got a problem

We gotta learn how to deal

Yeah we can talk things out

Diamonds are formed

Under pressure

So let’s save the world

But first we’ve got to save ourselves

2. Step One

Well the presidents red

And the power is white

And the nation is blue

And justice ain’t blind

Well if you’re gonna bleed

Gotta do it right

Darkness consumes you

Until you’re drowning in light

Step one’s denial

And then the anger

You compromise

Lost in your mind

And then find comfort

In your secluded world

Melts into nothing

Because you’re nothing

A tired mother

She’s the lady in treen

Well her flame got smothered

She’s just another smoke screen

And the presidents dead

Buried in the lies

A thousand screams of a thousand lies

Of a thousand lies

Step ones denial

And then the anger

You compromise

Lost in your mind

And then find comfort

In your secluded world

Melts into nothing

Because you’re nothing

How did this happen

Where It all began

This is what you asked for

This is what you planned

Maybe we deserve this

It was by our hand

We bit into the apple

Now we understand

Step one’s denial

And then the anger

You compromise

Lost in your mind

And then find comfort

In your secluded world

Melts into nothing

Because you’re nothing

3. Talk

I know you hear

But can you listen

It’s like I’ve known you all my life

But I cannot recognize you

Can we just talk

I’m not looking to offend

I just wanna comprehend you

I think this faith

It’s made you blind

You’re in denial

So just open up your eyes

And I get

You’re probably saving face

But I can forgive you

If you admit to your mistake

Words

they’ve got weight

And I’ve heard

What he has to say

I just wanna talk

4. Friends in High Places

With friends like these

Who needs enemies

It’s been centuries

Since we fought against ourselves

We need a remedy

Because your freedom is offending me

They’re dragging bloody bodies off the streets

And where’s it leave us if we let them be

Follow me

And I can lead you to prosperity

It just involves a sacrifice

Accepting Jesus Christ

So don’t complain

Cause freedom just complicates

And life is easy with decisions made

Just trust the Bible don’t forget to pray

Let go

Of everything you’ve ever known

Of everything you’ve ever owned

Possessions just possess you

Just succumb

cause heaven knows he’s got a plan

And I was chosen by his holy hand

To be the savior of this holy land

5. Icarus

Organic

wrapped in plastic

Gotta have it

In your basket

Consumer antics

All in the Atlantic

Pacific business

Sustainable practice

Land fills and plastic hills

dollar bills, and a vacation

From respiration

And the grassy fields

And your natural meals

And the animals but we’re still here

Living on the sun

The center of everyone

The greatness has just begun

So now we’re a spectical

Cause everyone loves a good show

Not all that glitters is gold

And you can’t escape from the glow

No we can’t get enough

Because now we’re icarus

Fatally vigorous

Blinded by ambiciousness

And we were always the kings

Now we’re burning our wings

We are the future whatever it brings

Landfills and plastic hills

Dollar bills

And a vacation from respiration

And the grassy fields

And your natural meals

And the animals but we’re still here

6. In Defiance of Science!

A little boy in big shoes

A clown an entertaining fool

A master without mastery

A buffoon built on blasphemy

A piggy with some lipstick on

Flying high above the farm

A fraud a fake Pinocchio

What happens when he cries wolf

In defiance

In defiance

In defiance of science

Why you want to take me down

When the world is so so high

In defiance of science

Check out the emperors new clothes

Am I the only one who knows

Said you can’t trust in what you see

Because you’re too stupid to perceive

You say you want transparency

You wanna see through all of me

Cause you can’t see through this disguise

I’ll tell you what’s before your eyes

In defiance

In defiance

In defiance of science

Why you wanna take me down

When the world is so so high

In defiance

7. Sad Clown

The view from the bottom of a bayou

A monument of a promise broke long ago

And that hole in the sky made the flood waters rise

Yeah the hill became an island

And the trees became a boat

But when you pay the judge

And when you pay the jury

You don’t have consequences

You dint have any worries

And when you sold your soul

To the highest bidder you’re a figure head you’re a marionette

I got my makeup on

I got my tricks down

But in my vanity I see a sad clown

A sad clown

A hole in the clouds

Formed a tempest that rained down

I capsized and it blew me off course

With all that money I earned

how to swim I never Learned

Now I’m under water

But when you pay the judge

And when you pay the jury

You don’t have consequences

You dint have any worries

And when you sold your soul

To the highest bidder you’re a figure head you’re a marionette

I got my makeup on

I got my tricks down

But in my vanity I see a sad clown

A sad clown

But when you pay the judge

And when you pay the jury

You don’t have consequences

You dint have any worries

And when you sold your soul

To the highest bidder you’re a figure head you’re a marionette

I got my makeup on

I got my tricks down

But in my vanity I see a sad clown

A sad clown

8. Everything is Perfect

Everything is perfect

And everyone is kind

We’re sure to leave you wordless

Feel free to speak your mind

It’s a pleasure just to be here

It was a long long line

There’s nothing to see here

That’s what everybody finds

Everything is perfect

Everyone’s aligned

Don’t you look beyond the surface

Should you be inclined

It’s a pleasure just to be here

It’s a privilege to stay

Because everything is perfect

Inside our palisade

What you have seen’s really not what you saw

Cause you’d be mistaken if you spot a flaw

Hush all your feelings and muddle your thoughts

Everything’s perfect and that is the law

Everything is perfect

Everything is perfect Inside these walls

On our paradise island

You never have to leave

Because everything is perfect

We’ve got everything we need

And the other word is lawless

And I only speak the truth

Here everything is flawless

And I made it all for you

What you have seens rally not what you saw

Cause you’d be mistaken if you saw a flaw

Hush all your feelings and muddle your thoughts

Everything is perfect and that is the law

Yeah everything is perfect

Yeah everything is perfect

Inside these walls

9. Best Seller

Crusades yeah yeah

Back to the dark age yeah yeah

With my blade yeah yeah

I can give you faith yeah yeah

We’ll wake you

We’ll make you one of us

We’ll save you

Humiliate you before god

We invite you to the biggest club

Of the planet and heavens above

We’re fighting for a world of love

We won’t give in till you give up

I’m coming for you

And I’m coming for him

I’ve come to save you

From your worldly sins

His word is right

There’s no need to fight

So come to the light

Receive Christ

You can’t ignore me

And my glory

Fuck your story

You should read mine

Easiest choice you ever made

Is faith or the blade

And I will chase you

Until your dead baptized or gone

Where to begin

Where have you been

I can baptize your skin

Wash away all your sins

Just read the rules

Here’s the script

Allegedly this is how we live

We’ve been born again

Is this enough

cause father loves you so much

You hypocrite

Fucking bigot

Fuck your sacrifice

Fuck your crucifix

Your forgiveness

And your gluttony

Lock your children out

Begging on the street

Fuck your tolerance

Cause in your name

They locked me up

Yeah you’re so vane

Your thoughts and prayers

Didn’t get me there

Fuck your miracles

Cause you don’t care

Fuck your donations

You won’t let me in

You’re invisible

So you’re meaningless

Pull the curtain back

Reveal yourself

Burn down your house

Or strike me down

You’re a phony, you’re a fraud

You’re a poor excuse for a god

I mean Jesus Christ

Im thinking Maybe Judas was right

10. The Borg

We’re gonna take you

We hope you understand

And we’re going to make you

Get those nagging thoughts out of your head

We’re going to violate your you just have to trust

And we’re going to make you one of us

In our binary friendship

We’ll share all of our secrets

Assimilate and sequence

Don’t you fear fitting in

So welcome home now

You’ll never be alone now

No desires or human doubts

Just plug right in and tune out

Don’t be alarmed now

Cause this is protocol

Just out your arms down

And you could have it all

It’s an evaluation

You’ll be the patient

Give us your information

Before everything is taken.

In our binary friendship

We’ll share all of our secrets

Assimilate and sequence

Don’t you fear fitting in

Oh I think he’s ready

Though it could be heavy

But you’ll be just fine

Once you get online

So open up your eyes

Life is full of lies

Take off your glasses

Submit to the masses

Once we’ve got you here

Your inefficient fears

That tend to interfere

They tend to disappear

Here

11. Breaking News

First the journals reported

There was a coverup

He called them the enemy

Because they called him corrupt

It’s all political

Nothing to see

They’re just being critical

To get rid of me

It’s all fake

It’s all a joke

So buckle up

For their new hoax

Breaking news

The presidents lying

Of course he’s denying

That people are dying

This is a lethal dose

Of his ego

He’s incompetent

He’s got to go

Look at the charts

Look at the death

At this rate there’ll be no one left

Addressing the nation

It’s all disinformation

Wall Street is tanking

Just check the citations

Listen to doctors

Listen to scientists

Listen to history

Listen to common sense

Look at the images

Ask all the witnesses

They’re all getting sick

It’s a pandemic

You’ve got to stay

6 feet away

If you go out

Cover your mouth

Not just for you

But for your mom

Unknowingly you could pass it on

But to keep his erection

To save his election

To keep the markets high

And his self perception

For all that it’s worth

He made America first

In infections

And then one morning

They retracted the story

A new head was talking

About America’s glory

There were no protests

There was no scandal

The only unrest is the vandals

The only reason is

They’re anarchists

Gas and arrest the treasonous

Where did the anchor go

We’re drifting away

On a holy and rudderless ship

Trying to keep us at bay

If this ship isn’t sinking

Why are my feet wet

Weatherman says it’s raining

But I see the sun set

12. The Only Scars You Ever Gave

Dear mother

Where did you go

Could be a thousand miles away

Locked up in a cage like an animal

The only scars you ever gave

The only scars you ever gave

Dear father

Abandoned me

Been an outlaw since the day

You brought me here to stay

The only scars you ever gave

The the only scars you ever gave

Dear brother

Believe me

I didn’t have a choice

But I think I’ve lost my voice

This is the only home I know

And I’ve got no place to go

Hey neighbor

Can you hear me

I screamed but no one came

Afraid for their own sakes

And I cannot live without

I need someone to help me out

13. When's a Revolution?

Find us in the ashes

Sifting for souvenirs

Among the gases

Once the smoke clears

Find us in the shadows

Of abandoned ally’s

When’s a revolution

When’s the finale

Waiting for the future cause the presents gone

I’m waiting on some karma or an Atom bomb

My misery made me an nihilist

Freedoms just a concept it’s an illusion

The night is always darkest just before the dawn

Only in the darkness can you see the stars

I’m waiting on a solution

When’s a revolution

Find me with the preacher

They drove us underground

We’re burning books to get us through the winter cold

Protests left us hopeless

Because we failed to take the titan from his throne

Waiting for the future cause the presents gone

I’m waiting on some karma or an atom bomb

Driven by desperation and despondency

Pessimism always got the best of me

The night is always darkest just before the dawn

Only in the darkness can you see the stars

I’m waiting on a solution

When’s a revolution?

14. Defected

So I guess I’m running

From what’s coming

What we’re becoming

The prey or the hunted

Guess I’m an expat

Guess I’m a fugitive

Feet don’t fail me now

Father forgive

I’ll bring the flask up to my lips

I’ll follow streams and I’ll feel the wind

I’ll watch the birds fly overhead

Above the falling foliage

It’s getting cold outside

And my body shivers

And the hounds can’t hurt me

Once I cross that river

Seeking asylum as a refugee

Are you under duress

What conditions made you have to leave

Your hands are freezing and your clothes are wet

My my you have a fever

And your heart is beating out your chest

And you appear to have trouble breathing

Another defected American

We know you’re broken

So with arms wide open

15. El Paso

Tell them somethings going on

They put a bullet in her brain at the break of dawn

They shut down all the Texaco’s

And turned off all the telephones

I’m Gonna dig up all my family’s gold

I’m gonna shut my mouth keep my head down low

I’m gonna make my way to Mexico

There’s a hole in the wall in El Paso

What’s your freedom all about

Lord knows I’ve sacrificed and sinned

Built it just to keep them out

Use it just to keep us in

They took it all away from me

My home my family and friends

The life I built the air I breathe

I guess I gotta start again

I gotta get away

I hope you understand

I can’t stay

They’ve tied my hands

No other way

They’ve made it clear

I’ve got no future

While I’m here

16. Fall

Dictate how I’m living free

Well your bigotry is simmering

Got humans out here shivering

While Truman’s on the movie screen

In this Stockholm state

Of objective truths

Politics abandoned me

Way back when lies became routine

Since the Bible took our liberty

And not a drop of dignity was left

We all bleed red in the end

So let’s save the world

But first we gotta save ourselves

Don’t hold your breath

I could have years or only minutes left

So out your ear against my beating chest

Tell me everything

Happens for a reason

Well I’m a nihilistic demon

Hiding in the attic for speaking

Now that I found my wings

Now I’m on the wall

For standing up and fighting

and I am standing tall

And Now I’m facing fire to end it all

Now watch me fall

In the hole

We’re with the world and we are alone

We’re with the world and we are all Unknown

No we’re not alone

This is my home

Divided we fall

17. The Chimpanzee

I’m a chimpanzee

Unable to hear or see or think or speak

In a tree hanging by a branch under the canopy

In a dream underneath the sun and glow of the galaxy

And I’m callocing

Disassociate myself from reality

Don’t trigger me

Pistol against my head for spitting fantasies

I can smell the danger and my instincts lead when I can’t leave

My temples burning can’t you see that I can’t breathe

So we’re painting leaves

Watercolors floating out into the sea

Fireworks in daytime like a symphony

Amazing how the art turned into history

Now I can’t sleep

The only nature left here is the human beans

The sun swallowed the sea and then burned down my tree

Devolution turned us into animals

And hope is just a habit that abandoned me

And love is a false prophet for the losing team

Compassion’s a distraction from reality

So forget the huddled masses yearning to break free

18. The Phoenix

Last night I saw a Phoenix

Was it just a dream?

Because that’s how it seemed

And this burning bird

She couldn’t fly

She had broke her wing

And she was crying

Over the barren streets of America

Over the barren streets of America

She sat upon a tree

Her eyes were closed the branch it burned beneath her feet

But she had lost her glow

Now she was all alone

I watched

The world below

A bed of browning leaves and piles of sticks and stones

Obscured with cannon smoke

Yeah we had lost all hope

In the abandoned streets of America

In the abandoned streets of America

In a serene submission her body went limp

And as gravity took hold she crumbled into the wind

To the divided streets of America

To the divided streets of America

And from the overpass

I watched her embers meet

The carpet of lifeless grass

And branches on the streets

This barren wasteland became an ocean of fire

And from the molten mess

I see a head emerge

I see it shake its wings

A little baby bird

Gives a triumphant cry as it takes flight

We are the Phoenix

They broke our wings and we cannot fly away

We are the Phoenix

So I’ll close my eyes and I’ll fall into the flames

We are the Phoenix

And we’re coming back to life

We are the phoenix

And everything is out of my control

We are the Phoenix

so tonight I’m letting gravity take hold

We are the Phoenix

And we’re coming back to life

We are the phoenix

I’ll drown myself in the ashes down below

We are the phoenix

I’ll expire and then I’ll emerge from the glow

We are the phoenix

And we’re coming back to life

We are the phoenix

In this hellscape that I used to call my home

We are the phoenix

Filled with everything that I have ever known

We are the phoenix

And we’re coming back to life…

19. Save Ourselves (Save the World)

We were an idea

Documents and institutions

Ever evolving

Our new concepts and solutions

And humbly we were rooted

Yeah in god we trust

But not in fact

As the world turned

We turned our backs

We lost sight of who we were

We were the stewards

We were tenants of this land

We were custodians

Was he everything he wanted

Did he give you what he promised

While the world turned

He turned back time

While the world burned

He fueled the fire

Maybe we deserve this

Maybe we’re not worthy of so much power

Is this the last time

Could this be the last time

And this last year

Our divisions left us weakened

Festering wounds we left untreated

Left us vulnerable

On our hill inside these walls

I think we’re all just tired and fucked up from it all

And are the panic attacks too much to bear alone

Or it’s that empty chair in your home

We were all refugees

We were inventors and inventions

But we got complacent

We forgot our best intentions

We lost sight of all the basics

On our pathway to greatness

We got arrogant, selfish and vain

We forgot that love is the way

And god bless the USA

We don’t deserve her

But did we deserve him

Because in this last year

We all lost something
